William C. (b.1996-d.1951) was born in Rutherford County, Tennessee, from the union of William and Mary Lou Cannon-Douglas. William married Emma Burns, and four children were born from their union: Sadie Bell (b. 1925-d.2003), Johnetta (b.1927-d.1992), Edith L. (b.1928-d.2013), and Nathan (b.1931-d.2016) Douglas.
