John E. (b.1926-d.1928) was born in Rutherford County, Tennessee, to the union of Ross and Kattie Buttler-Buchanan. John E. married Louise Arnold, and from their union, five children were born: Rita (b.1951-d.2022), John E. Jr., Ronza, Ernestine, and Devita Buchanan.
